Pre-Op Instructions For Extractions

DO NOT take aspirin or any product containing aspirin 7 days prior to surgery.

Generally need to discontinue Coumadin or blood thinning medications 3 days prior to surgery but need to address on individual basis and to contact physician.

DO NOT take herbal drugs that may increase bleeding time: garlic, ginseng, gingko biloba, ginger, fish oils, and vitamin E.

DO NOT drink alcoholic beverages for 1 day prior to surgery.

DO NOT drink caffeinated beverages the day of surgery.

DO wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.

DO eat a meal before arriving at the office.
